Determining Knowledge and Practice of Self-Foot Care and Adherence of Patient on Self-Foot Assessment among Patients with Diabetes Mellitus

Introduction: Diabetes neuropathy has been rated the third most common diabetes complication and foot ulcer which is result of diabetic commonly happens thus, patients with mellitus need to understand practice self-foot care possess excellent technique on self-assessment. Objective: This study aimed determine knowledge assessment among mellitus. Methods: A quantitative, cross-sectional was conducted at clinic two primary centres in Kuantan Pahang. The May 2022 130 participants recruited this through purposive sampling method. data collected using self-administered questionnaires an audit checklist. Results: out participants, 89.2% had good knowledge, 62.3% 43.8% performed techniques assessment. There a significant association between care, p-value 0.001. Conclusion: It found that self-assessment are significantly associated. However, do not patient's ability perform findings would assist development health education package for preventing ulcers Malaysia.
